Emergency Crews Rescue Three from Swollen Creek in Royal National Park

Play episode

On Sunday morning, emergency services executed a rescue operation for three adults trapped by rising creek waters along the Coast Track in the Royal National Park.

The incident, which began shortly after 9 a.m., required the intervention of Pol-Air, who successfully winched the individuals across a swollen creek.

On the ground, the Sutherland Police, Royal National Park Rangers, Rural Fire Service, and NSW Ambulance provided assistance. Following the rescue, the three were taken to Sutherland Hospital for precautionary checks due to prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions.

Authorities remind bushwalkers to verify weather forecasts, carry adequate supplies, and utilise the Emergency+ app before embarking on outings.
